Bruckner was a Hollywood Californian, being born of Hungarian parents and Russian mothers, who divorced. The paternal grandparents of Bruckner were German. She is the daughter of Budapest-born parents who came to Hungary. Her family emigrated to the U.S.A. through an Italian refugee camp in 1984. She has two brothers. She also have two sisters.
